Last month I got to meet Kate at Disneyland! She flew out to California with friends to attend a film festival in Hollywood, and we arranged to get together while she was here. It was a quick trip, but I had a lot of fun wandering around the park and sort of playing tour guide with Kate and her friends Nicole and Casey. Of course we started off by meeting up at the Dole Whip stand. We chatted, went on a few rides, and Kate had the best reaction ever to seeing "it's a small world" up close (wish I'd taken video)! We had a mini photo shoot in front of my favorite Disney photo-taking wall, right outside of "small world."
In honor of Kate pretty much being the ice cream queen, I had to wear this super cute summer ice cream necklace sent to me by Cat-A-Cake Creations. It's hand painted laser cut wood, and I love how the sprinkles are little hearts. Everything from Cat-A-Cake is made by illustrator and designer Claire Montgomery, by the sea in Brighton, England. Check out these lovely seaside photos showing off the Carousel Collection; they make me want to take a beach day as soon as possible.
Also, Kate gave me some of the prettiest Disney pins; she's too sweet! It was a lot of fun experiencing Disneyland with first-timers, and it was such a treat to finally meet Kate after being online friends for a while. I hope she'll make it back to the West Coast very soon!
