I hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend! Ours was a little less-than-stellar to be honest. On Saturday, I woke up with shooting pains in my neck, shoulders, and arm. I think it might be residual pain from when I got whiplash at Disneyland back in the summer. It hurt too much to move, so I stayed in bed, perfectly still for most of the day. Our friends were having their annual huge Halloween party that night, but I wasn't sure if I would be able to go until about ten minutes before it was time to leave. I dragged myself out of bed, threw on my tuxedo bodysuit and tulle skirt, put on my cat mask since I was in no mood to do any elaborate makeup, donned my wingtips, and dubbed myself "Jazz Cat" as we headed out the door.
Jose dressed up as a dead sailor like he did last year. He definitely looks better in my Navy uniform shirt than I do. The party was fun and there were lots of great costumes, but we didn't bring the camera to the party since it now refuses to work zoomed in, zoomed out, or any way other than the exact focus it feels like having at any given moment, so it's too frustrating to use most of the time. It's time for a new camera soon!
On actual Halloween, we couldn't afford to leave the house since both of our cars were out of gas, and it was a few hours until official pay day. So we went to sleep early. Squares! Obviously next year will have to be an improvement!
